Chadwick S. Parson serves as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) and President. Prior to becoming CEO, Mr. Parson served on the Board of Directors of the Company for two years. Mr. Parson previously worked at J.P. Morgan Securities LLC as a Managing Director in J.P. Morgan’s Special Opportunities Group. During his twenty year career at J.P. Morgan’s investment bank, Mr. Parson held several positions in areas which included debt capital markets, credit derivatives and risk, and served as Head of Repackaging and Securitized Products for North America. He has also served on boards of companies and in executive roles for companies owned by J.P. Morgan in the United States, Spain, Ireland and the Cayman Islands. Mr. Parson is a member of the New York Bar Association and practiced as an attorney at Shearman & Sterling prior to joining J.P. Morgan. Mr. Parson received a B.A. in 1990 from Duke University and a J.D. in 1995 from Fordham University School of law.
Jonathan T. Brohard serves as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel. Mr. Brohard also serves as the Company’s Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary. Mr. Brohard has extensive legal and practical experience encompassing real estate acquisitions, sales, financing, development, operations and management, institutional debt and equity, private equity, joint ventures and syndications, corporate governance, public reporting, regulatory compliance and human resources. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Brohard was an equity shareholder at Polsinelli, PC. Previously, he served as president of a real estate investment and management company with more than 135 properties located across 22 states, and more than 240 employees. Mr. Brohard has also previously practiced law at Squire Patton Boggs (formerly Squire, Sanders & Dempsey) and Arent Fox LLP. Mr. Brohard is a member of the Arizona, Virginia and Washington D.C. Bar Associations. Mr. Brohard received a B.S. in Finance in 1991 from West Virginia University and a J.D. in 1994 from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Samuel J. Montes serves as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”). Prior to becoming CFO, Mr. Montes has served at the Company in various capacities, including Controller, Director of Financial Reporting and Compliance, Vice President of Finance and Senior Vice President of Finance. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Montes served as Senior Financial Analyst for a privately-owned, national real estate developer and manager of multi-family residential housing. Previously, Mr. Montes served as the Director of Finance for Childhelp USA, a national not-for-profit organization. Mr. Montes’ prior experience also includes over 13 years with international public accounting firms, where he specialized in real estate, gaming and public sector clients. Mr. Montes has over 30 years of experience in finance and accounting, primarily in the real estate industry. Mr. Montes received a B.S. in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting in 1990 from California State University of Los Angeles.
Paul J. Evans serves as the Company’s Senior Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller. Mr. Evans has been providing professional accounting and finance services to businesses in various industries including real estate, franchising, hospitality, manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, and construction for the past 18 years. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Evans served in various executive finance and accounting positions, including VP of Finance of Barnet, Dulaney, Perkins Eye Center as well as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Kahala Brands, a multi-branded restaurant franchisor including such brands as Cold Stone Creamery. Mr. Evans’ prior experience also includes 11 years with Eide Bailly, LLP, a top 25 national public accounting firm, providing assurance and consulting services to privately held for-profit and non-profit businesses. Mr. Evans also serves as Chairman of the Board Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona Association, and he formerly served as a Board member of the Arizona Society of CPA’s. Mr. Evans received a B.S. in Accountancy in 2002 from Arizona State University and currently holds active licenses as a CPA and a Chartered Global Management Account (CGMA).
